A European native, locally established in our area. Dry, usually sandy roadsides, driveways, lawns, and clearings. First collected in 1896 in Hillsdale Co.
This is a low matted plant with attractive bright pink little flowers open only briefly in the sunshine and, unlike our other two species, is not a halophyte.
