Lolium temulentum B. S. Walters

Disturbed soils, native of Europe; first collected in Houghton Co. in 1860, but still a rare weed.

The longest glumes in spikes of this species are nearly always at least 1.5 cm, often 2 cm, whereas in L. perenne they are less than 1.5 cm long.
