Huperzia selago ex W. H. Wagner slide collection

Openings in cedar swamps and other moist conifer stands, mossy, shady banks, mossy boulders, trails and old roads, logs, moist floors of sandy borrow pits, and sandy, mossy lake shores.

Sun and shade forms may appear rather different, with shade forms having spreading leaves and a more lax habit, looking somewhat like a miniature H. lucidula, but without the annual constrictions on the stem and with abundant stomata on the upper leaf surface.
