Dentaria diphylla of Michigan Flora.

Deciduous and mixed forests, especially in rather moist or seep areas; cedar swamps. The cauline leaves are usually nearly opposite (at most 1–2 cm distant), rarely more evenly alternate (as in C. maxima). The distinctive white, strongly toothed rhizome is ample by itself for recognizing this species.
