Carex tenuiflora Wahlenb.

Common Name: SEDGE
Coefficient of Conservatism: 10
Coefficient of Wetness: -5
Wetness Index: OBL
Physiognomy: Nt P-Sedge

Sphagnum bogs, coniferous swamps, and peaty, shaded shores, often on hummocks; very local but also easily overlooked, especially since it may grow intermixed with C. disperma and C. trisperma, which have similar foliage.

All records but one south of the northern third of the Lower Peninsula are more than a century old.
