Roadsides, fields, edges of forests. A favorite, fragrant bulb, apparently well established in a few areas; first collected in Eaton Co. in 1981.
Plants lacking the red-tipped corona are probably the hybrid Narcissus ×medioluteus (N. poeticus × N. tazetta).
