Disporum maculatum of Michigan Flora.
A southern species of rich deciduous forests occurring in southeastern Michigan disjunctly from southern Ohio, the nearest locality in its primary range. Known only from O. A. Farwell’s 1921 and 1922 collections (BLH) from near Farmington, Oakland Co.
Farwell described the plants as a new species (Disporum cahnae), named for Mrs. Cahn, who led him to the place where they were growing.
