In situations similar to those of T. ohiensis, but much less common. Specimens with sepals sparsely pubescent their entire length are apparently hybrids with T. ohiensis, and have been collected in Ingham, St. Clair, and Washtenaw Cos. As with T. ohiensis, some records may be escapes from cultivation.
