Native west of the Great Lakes, but a common garden annual sporadically escaped eastward. Occasional along roadsides and railroads. First collected in 1925 in Wayne Co.
The principal leaves are deeply pinnatifid into very narrowly lanceolate, linear, or even filiform segments.
