Forests and fields; a commonly grown early spring bulb from the Caucasus and western Asia.
First collected as a wild plant by W. S. Martinus in 2019, in Allegan Co., though known as a wild plant already from Ontario. This is a distinctive showy little ephemeral, with outfacing ± tubular flowers with whitish segments each with a broad blue zone centered on the mid-vein.
