Very rare; collected in Michigan on the sandy shore of Dewey Lake, Cass Co., 1902–1906, then again on the shore of Dayton Lake in Berrien Co. in 1975. The Kalamazoo Co. record is from a recent prairie planting, and while apparently not part of the seed mix, may have been inadvertently introduced.
