Native to the south of Michigan, adventive here along railroads and roadsides; rarely on sandy shores. First collected in 1923 in Washtenaw Co. Except for the oblique upper portion, the seeds of E. davidii are ± angled with somewhat flatter faces, while those of E. dentata are rounded in overall shape.
