Roadsides, lawns, and disturbed forest edges and openings, native a little south of Michigan

Michigan occurrences seem likely to be introductions from farther south; the first collections were from lawns and roadsides. However, there are apparently native occurrences as close as the Erie Islands of Ontario. First collected in 1936 in Kalamazoo Co.
