Chrysanthemum leucanthemum of Michigan Flora.

A Eurasian native widely naturalized in North America. The oldest Michigan collections seen are from Wayne Co. in 1870 and from several counties in the 1880’s (Van Buren, Keweenaw, Kent, Leelanau [North Manitou Island], and Mackinac [Mackinac Island]). The species is now thoroughly naturalized throughout Michigan in roadsides, fields, railroads, disturbed sites, shores, clearings and trails in forests; rare in wetlands.

The leaves ordinarily have 12 or fewer largish teeth and narrow little lobes on each side.
