Boechera dentata (Raf.) Al-Shehbaz & Zarucchi

Common Name: ROCK CRESS
Coefficient of Conservatism: 9
Coefficient of Wetness: 5
Wetness Index: UPL
Physiognomy: Nt P-Forb
Status: T

Arabis perstellata of Michigan Flora.

Floodplain forests and banks in the Grand and St. Joseph River systems; very local.

See Al-Shehbaz & Zarucchi (2008) for the nomenclature. This is quite distinctive, with its ± dentate and pubescent upper cauline leaves. Fruiting plants often have a new basal rosette, suggesting that this woodland species may be more of a short lived perennial than the other Boechera species.
