Lycopus rubellus Moench

Common Name: STALKED WATER HOREHOUND
Coefficient of Conservatism: 8
Coefficient of Wetness: -5

Physiognomy: Nt P-Forb

Swamps and floodplains, especially around the margins of open depressions, less often in open moist ground.

The tiny bracts of the inflorescence are a good character for telling this from all of our other species, except L. uniflorus and L. virginicus. This species has very conspicuous elongated stolons.
