Dalibarda

Rubus chamaemorus (cloudberry) might key here if found in Michigan; it is an essentially herbaceous, functionally dioecious species with ± 5-lobed simple leaves, solitary flowers, and yellowish orange very juicy fruit composed of large druplets; known as far south as the north side of Lake Superior. In the Rosaceae, Dalibarda repens is our only simple-leaved herbaceous species. Dalibarda may be better treated in Rubus, or perhaps Rubus should be split into several genera (Alice & Campbell, 1999).
