Several additional of Forsythia are grown and may escape, including F. viridissima, the green-stemmed Forsythia, with pith chambered throughout and simple leaves, and F. ovata, the early or Korean Forsythia, with stiffly upright twigs and ovate leaves. Many cultivars are also grown.
