Buxaceae

Species of Buxus are commonly cultivated in southern Michigan, and may seed readily in gardens, but have not yet been seen wild in Michigan. They are opposite-leaved shrubs with small, short-petioled elliptic, oblong, or ovate evergreen leaves.
