Aster sericeus of Michigan Flora.

Prairies, dry banks and fields. An absolutely distinctive species, with rather uniformly small, oblong-elliptic, very silky leaves. O. A. Farwell’s Keweenaw Co. collection is tentatively accepted, as this species does occur in Ontario, north of Minnesota.
