Phegopteris hexagonoptera Fée
Common Name: BROAD BEECH-FERN
Synonym: Thelypteris hexagonoptera
Coefficient of Conservatism: 8
Coefficient of Wetness: 3
Wetness Index: FACU
Physiognomy: Nt Fern

Rich, moist deciduous forests, often at bases of slopes, edges of seeps, and along streams; rare northward.

A collection by O. A. Farwell from the Keweenaw County, 20 Sept. 1888, is not mapped. Despite not seeming too far out of range, it is part of a small group of plants collected on that day that all seem to have been erroneously labeled.
