Sanguisorba minor of Michigan Flora.

Gravelly or rocky calcareous banks, shores, openings, and roadsides; sandy open ground, railroad banks. Despite the common names, this Old World species is apparently not cultivated to any extent in this country, but is a very local weed. First collected in 1878 in Kent Co.
