This apomictic complex occurs in the Maritime Provinces of Canada, west to James Bay and Alaska, and south in the West nearly to Mexico; it is ± disjunct in the northwestern part of Lake Superior (on Caribou Island in the Isle Royale archipelago and also in nearby Ontario).
