Digitalis purpurea A. A. Reznicek

A native of western Europe, escaped into forests, especially borders and clearings. The first collection, in 1916 at Whitefish Lake in western Alger Co., notes “As an escape it has persisted for 30 years.” Now locally well established in forested areas in the eastern Upper Peninsula.
