Knautia arvensis B. S. Walters

Locally well established as a weed in old fields and roadsides in the Upper Peninsula since first collected in 1950 in Ontonagon Co.; less common southward.

The foliage is quite variable, ranging from leaves entire or nearly so (toward base of plant) to deeply pinnatifid.
